100happywords: 40. Blue Green
Nothing says “carefree days at the beach” to me like the Christmas-tree silhouette of Norfolk Pines against an azure sky.
It brings back childhood memories of days spent at Burleigh Heads, hobbling barefoot across the beachfront’s casuarina needle-and-cone covered grass – ouch ouch ouch – to grab a burger from the milk bar across the road. My only care being whether I’ll get a Paddle Pop after lunch.
Today, it’s all about lying on the grass, taking in the blues and greens, and breathing out the stresses of family, work, relationships – life.
The tension goes; the trees and sky remain.
Care free.
