Oh, I do love a pot of tea.
I understand the convenience of tea-bag tea but, seriously, the end result does not compare.
Brewed tea, made in a ceramic pot, with leaves – not dusty shavings – is the only way to drink the stuff. It’s also the only way to get the tea sufficiently strong without excess bitterness.
And then there’s the ceremony of the pot of tea:
It must be poured into a teacup – not a mug.
It must be lingered over: No quick gulps and rush out the door.
And let’s not mention the milk-first rule …
