My body is quite happy at rest. If given the choice between exertion and stasis, it generally chooses inactivity.
People often associate exercise with losing weight. I find exercise most beneficial for its impact on my mood. It’s hard to be grumpy, anxious or stressed when all my energy is going into getting oxygen to my lungs.
