A random act of street art occurred today in the inner Brisbane suburb of West End. Walkers, who stopped to rest on one of the benches in the popular riverside Orleigh Park, were confronted with the outline of a human-shaped figure etched with chalk on the concrete. Witnesses report the eyes of the figure had been replaced by dollar signs and a ragged-edge, broken heart was visible in the chest region. Police are asking for anyone in the vicinity today who may have seen a person sitting and reflecting by the river, possibly with chalk-dusted hands, to contact them immediately.
