Words give my life some of its most joyous moments – a novel’s lyrical prose, a speech’s rhetorical call, a friend’s farcical story. But words often fail me. It’s not that I don’t have the words or my memory is slipping; it’s that there is no word to describe my experience. Or, that the words have yet to be put together in a way that captures the meaning. So I love it when I get to have a deep, heartfelt conversation that not only reminds me what’s important in life but helps me put it into words. Happy words. Happy days.
