I love it when people around me have ‘wins’.

On this occasion my brother had his work featured in two (yes, two!) design magazines. He does great work and it was truly wonderful to see it recognised and celebrated.

I find it challenging to watch the talented and passionate people around me put in years of hard slog with little acknowledgement of their efforts, talents or skills.

It’s a ridiculously simple act and yet it makes such a difference to the person, their work and society as a whole, when we take the time to say: You do great work.
