100happydays: 58. Galahs
On my daily walks I begin to look up, and today, I see galahs. Dozens of them perched atop an adobe-style block of apartments, with the sun setting behind. They’re carrying on like, well, a bunch of galahs. Fluttering. Chasing. Squawking. It’s such an unexpected sight – so many in one place in the inner city plus they’re perfectly framed by a couple of palm trees. It’s like an image from holiday brochures or a 70s tee-shirt or album cover. It’s a moment of visual perfection. Galahs. Sunset. Trees. I take a moment to savour it. And then take the photo.
