Yes, I’m talking about my fascination with Scandinavian television series – the (usually) crime dramas set in very cold places with flawed heroes and endless subtitles.

The latest on my Nordic noir Must Watch List was Mammon.

When I got a copy of the first series, I cancelled all weekend plans so I could watch its six episodes uninterrupted.

I sat bundled up in blankets with cups of tea and biscuits and watched lives unravel and crimes solved; safely, from a distance, touching the periphery of life.
